Application for certification
In principle, application unit shall be defined according to different product families, models/types, specifications, working principles, constructions in terms of product safety, the components having significant influence on EMC performance.
In principle, the application shall be made according to application unit. The products, of same model/type, of same manufacturer, but from different manufacturing premises, shall be in different application units, but only one type testing is required.
Application documents
The formal application shall be submitted with the following documents:
1.Product assembly chart, circuit diagram
2.List of critical components and/or materials
3.Description of the difference between the different model/type of products in the same application unit.
4.Other necessary documents.

Type testing
The principles of sample delivery for type testing
The representative samples from the units of application for certification shall be selected and supplied for type testing. According to requirements, samples of other products covered by the application unit should be supplied for additional testing on differences

1）The type testing shall be carried out according to the methods specified and/or referred in the standards.

2）Initial inspection of the factory
Contents of the inspection; The contents of factory inspection shall include the factory quality assurance ability assessment and the products consistency check.
3）Timing of factory inspection:
The duration of factory inspection shall be determined by the amounts of application units of products to be certified and with the consideration of the scale of the factory. It will normally take about 1 to 4 man-day for each processing premises.

CCC Certification （Briefing）
In December 2001, the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China issued the Regulations for Compulsory Product Certification. The Compulsory Product Certification System began to replace the original Quality License System for Commodity Inspection and Safety Certification System for Electrical Equipment.
The abbreviation of China Compulsory Product Certification is CCC or 3C. It is the statutory compulsory safety certification system and the basic approach to safeguard the consumers" rights and interests and protect the personal and property safety, which is adopted widely by international organizations.
China Compulsory Certification System came into force since May 1, 2002. In accordance with the joint announcement No.38 [2003] by the State General Administration for Quality Supervision and Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China and the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China, the time for implementing the supervision and management of the market for compulsory product certification was decided on August 1, 2003.
The Products subject to Compulsory Product Certification covers 135 products divided into 20 categories, including household appliances, motor vehicles, motorcycles, safety glasses, medical devices, lighting apparatus, cables and wires...etc. CQC is appointed to undertake the work of compulsory product certification for 17 categories within the CCC catalogue.
Question: how long the application’s process?
Answer: Generally it will be within 1-3 months after a formal acceptance by CQC about the applicant, and will formally inform to applicant while resulted the process.
